Money order services

A service is a money order service when legal or natural persons can by postal or telegraph orders and deposit bills, to transfer amounts in cash or at an account of the addressees - legal or natural persons

.Domestic postal and telegraph orders are handed (taken) and paid in all post offices.

The dimension of the amount of the orders and deposit bills handed is regulated in the "Prices of Universal and Non-Universal Postal Services Provided by the Bulgarian Posts Co."

The senders of postal orders, upon their will, could use and supplementary services, as well:

"Notice for delivery"
"Poste restante"
"Sender's message"

For each transfer by postal or telegraph orders and deposit bills, an receipt or tax invoice is issued.

The Bulgarian posts Co. offers and realises services on the money transfer activity for the settlements on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and it does not accomplish transfers for abroad.

Payment of domestic postal and telegraph orders - it is performed according to the "Instruction for Organisation of the Activity on the Postal Communications".

Method of payment

The addressees are informed obligatory
by an invitation, at an address
about a postal or telegraph money order arrived at their name in the post office
The payment of domestic postal and telegraph orders to the addressees is accomplished upon presenting an ID

Place of reception:

At a counter in the post office
At the addressee's address.

The amounts from postal orders for non-cash transfer and the deposit bills are transferred at the account of the addressee (titular) through the respective bank branch. The addressee of an order at an account or deposit bill receives by the servicing bank branch "Affirmative" for the transferred amount.

International money transfer services - incoming postal orders.

The international incoming postal orders are money orders taken in another country with an addressee on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The international incoming postal orders are without restriction about the amount and they are received for payment in the Republic of Bulgaria. They are paid to the addressees in:

Bulgarian levs - at a counter in the post office or non-cash (at an account)
currency - in a trade bank - at an open account of the addressee or in cash - at a counter.

The international incoming postal orders, according to the addressee's requirements, could be with supplementary services:

"Notice for Delivery"
"Poste restante"

TThe payment of international postal orders is performed under the direct control of the "Control Inspectorate on Posts" at the Bulgarian Posts Co.
